Well here is the start of the blogging lark! Up nice and early to see the sunrise at 5.33am and a glorious morning. Ran up to Moelfre summit and saw a single Chough there, quite a rarity as I haven’t seen one since last October when there were five. Lovely Skylarks singing as well. Ran down to the Elwy valley where the lanes are just a riot of colour and scent, bluebells, stitchwort, campion and wood anemones. Just a fantastic nine and half miles, where else would you want to be but North Wales in May!!
I have just finished my latest painting of Tryfan called РThe Paired Watchers, rich, warm colours with atomic structure, twisting double helix, double vesica picis geometry , layered strata and text from my Adam and Eve poem. Its in my studio ready to be framed.

acrylic, pencil, gold leaf on 300gsm w/c paper 20in x 16in £350

Scratching on the surface
Tripping across riven facets
The paired watchers
Above silver beaten llynau
And cwms of luxurious tapestry
Herald each dawn
Under these vast turning heavens
