What a weekend of warm, even hot weather!
Ran Snowdon and Cynghorion early on Saturday morning in hugely overcast weather and lashing wind and rain on the ascent to Snowdon! The heavy atmosphere did give beautiful hues to the land though, almost pressed under the high layer of thick cloud. Met Lowri Morgan filming something for S4C regarding her training for the 3 Peaks Yacht race as an all female crew, good luck for that on. (I competed in the race twice in the 1990’s!)
Sunday was my sons 21st birthday, where did that time go? He was home from the Royal Navy for the weekend so we had a great family lunch out on our balcony.
Monday was a scorcher and decided to be good day to recover our polytunnel where our chefs grow plants for use in our restaurant. Hot job with a few complications but completed with my father (79!!) and Lynn. Looks great and will be turning out some lovely herbs and salads in no time!!
Today has been another overcast one turning to heavy rain. Colours are intense under the dark skies and all the flora has burst into life over the last couple of days. Petals from the laden cherry blossom are now strewn across the land after the heavy rain.
I am off up to the Orkney Island tomorrow for a week with my Dad so will continue the blog on my return, should be an inspiring trip indeed.

Gently falls the cherry
My path flecked white
Her robes are mine to tread
Lightly alighting
Among angel’s petals
I thread silently upward
