Up at 6.00am to loud birdsong! A hazy, muted morning for a cycle to Eirias Park for a swim in the pool. The sea is flat calm so you can see anything breaking the surface. Many diving birds out and two Grey Seals surveying the coast. A ship was just mooring up, on the incoming tide, by the quarry at Llandulas to take on its load of limestone gravel. Several fishermen just setting up for the high tide at the end of the prom.. Pretty chilly air still so cold hands and feet on arrival! A good swim and much warmer ride home. Checked the draft for our new Tea Rooms of St George menu, it looks great. Worked on a couple of sketches for ideas and paint finishes. Cut and sorted sheets of watercolour paper from the big roll. Ready to start a new piece of work…

A fleeting vision
A distant glimpse on a horizon
A joy, a sparkle
Swiftly rendered, shelved
Are we dreaming?
